In the fall of 2015 I was enrolled in EDTS 540 (Computer Graphics.) In this course we primarily created digital media using Photoshop including graphics and animations. Another assignment was to create a webpage using the Slices feature included in Photoshop, which allows you to create an image, and than "slice" it into sections that you can then attach hyperlinks to. For this assignment we were asked to create a webpage using the Slices feature in Photoshop that included an animation and several hyperlinks to both external sites as well as to a Web Gallery and a Zoomify. This assignment met ISTE Standard 3c (Model Digital-Age Work and Learning) that states; "Teachers will communicate relevant information and ideas effectively to students, parents, and peers using a variety of digital-age media and formats." I met this standard by creating a website relevant to my content area of science to communicate information to my students regarding the solar system using digital media.
