This podcast is an audio reading of the Ancient Greek Myth of Narcissus and Echo. It was created in EDTS 580, Multimedia for Educators, in the spring of 2016. The purpose of this assignment was to create a podcast that you could use with students in your content area or grade using Garageband. This project meets the ISTE Standard 2a (Design and Develop Digital-Age Learning Experiences and Assessments) that states, "Teachers will design or adapt relevant learning experiences that incorporate digital tools and resources to promote student learning and creativity." I was able to meet this standard by assisting a colleague to incorporate digital media into her preexisting Greek Myth unit by differentiating the material to include the option of an audio rendition of the story of Echo and Narcissus for her auditory learners. She was then able to provide students with the option of simply reading the text, listening to the podcast, or reading along with the podcast. She was able to use this audio reading to than promote student creativity through the follow up assignment of students creating their own pourquoi stories.
